Yes.

Over the past decade, 60% of Wisconsinites on average have supported abortion being legal in all or most cases, according to polls conducted by Marquette Law School since 2012.

In Marquette’s latest poll on the question from September 2022, about 68% of respondents said abortion should be legal in all or most cases. That same poll found 61% opposed the U.S. Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade.

In an October poll from Marquette, 83% of respondents said their state should allow abortions in cases of pregnancy caused by rape or incest. Currently, an 1849 law banning abortion except when the mother’s life is at risk is in conflict with an 1985 law allowing abortion until fetal viability, with a pending lawsuit to decide which will prevail. In a September 2022 Spectrum News/Siena College poll, 72% of respondents said the state should replace the 1849 law.
